Ingredients
1 1/2 lb fresh green beans, trimmed and cut.
1 can (10 3/4 oz) cream of mushroom soup.
3/4 cup whole milk
1 tsp soy sauce
1 tsp Worchestershire sauce
1 tsp Tabasco sauce (or other pepper sauce)
freshly ground black pepper to taste
2 cups French’s French fried onions
1 large onion sliced
3 cloves garlic finely chopped
3 red chilies chopped
Preparation
- Blanch green beans in salted boiling water for 5 minutes.
- Fry onion, garlic, and chilies in olive oil until lightly golden.
- Turn the heat off of the onion mixture. Add mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, Worchestershire sauce, Tabasco, and black pepper. Mix well.
- Fold the beans into the onion mixture.
- In a greased casserole dish, spread half of the green bean mixture. Sprinkle with half of the french fried onions. Layer the remaining green beans into the casserole.
- Bake in 350 deg F oven for 40 minutes uncovered.
- Sprinkle remaining french fried onions on top and bake for another 10-15 minutes.
- Remove from oven and allow to rest for 10 minutes before serving.
