Ingredients

4 Granny Smith apples: peeled, cored, & diced

2 cups pear juice

1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom

2 ripe pears: peeled, cored, & diced

1-1/2 cups applesauce

3 tablespoons flaxseed meal

Preparation

  1. In a saucepan, combine: apples, pear juice, and cardamom. Simmer over low heat for 10 minutes (or apples are soft). Add pears and simmer for 5 minutes, remove from heat.
  2. Stir in applesauce and flaxseed meal.
  3. Fill pop molds w/mixture, insert sticks, freeze for 8 hours.
  4. Remove from freezer, let stand 5 minutes before removing from molds.
