Ingredients
1 qt. whole milk
1/2 cup sugar
1 pinch salt
4 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
sprinkle of nutmeg (optional)
1 cup of grapenuts cereal
Preparation
Scald milk. Soak grapenuts, salt and sugar in warm milk. Beat eggs and vanilla; combine gradually with milk mixture. Pour in oven-safe casserole dish; sprinkle with nutmeg. Place casserole dish in a separate pan 1/2 full of warm water and bake covered in a 350 degree oven for 45 minutes.
