Ingredients

1 1/2 lbs. turkey meat (not breast meat, too dry)

1 egg

1 c. cooked rice

1 head green cabbage

1 can tomato soup

1 can diced Italian style tomatoes

S & P to taste

Fresh herbs to taste: basil, oregano, marjoram.

Preparation

Cook rice; cool. (A quick way to cool is to spread out on a piece of tin foil or wax paper for a few minutes).

Boil cabbage until leaves can be removed. Save some of cabbage water to add later, if necessary.

Mix rice, turkey meat, herbs, and egg, S&P. Form 1 1/2 inch meatballs and wrap cabbage leave around meatball. Place in large pot. Add remaining ingredients; cover simmer for 30 minutes on low. Add a little “cabbage water” if you feel you need more juice. Serve with mashed potatoes. A great comfort meal!

NOTE: Ingredients can be adjusted for varying quantities.
