medium unpeeled Braeburn apples, cored

cup packed brown sugar

Nature Valley™ Cinnamon Crunchy Granola Bars (2 pouches from 8.9-oz box), broken into pieces

cup roasted whole almonds
Vanilla ice cream or whipped cream, if desired
Preparation
Heat oven to 350°F. Spray 13x9-inch (3-quart) glass baking dish with cooking spray. Cut apples in half lengthwise; place in baking dish. Top each apple half with 1 teaspoon butter. Sprinkle each apple half with 1 tablespoon brown sugar.
In food processor or blender, place granola bar pieces and almonds. Cover; process until mixture looks like coarse crumbs. In medium microwavable bowl, microwave remaining 2 teaspoons butter uncovered on High 20 seconds or until melted. Add granola mixture, stirring until blended. Sprinkle 2 tablespoons granola mixture over each apple half.
Cover; bake 30 minutes. Uncover; bake 20 minutes longer or until apples are tender and topping is golden brown. Serve with ice cream or whipped cream.
