Ingredients

1 cup pumpkin

2 cups scalded milk

1 beaten egg

3/4 cup sugar (I prefer brown)

1 tablespoon butter

1 heaping tablespoon flour

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon ground clove

pinch of salt

Preparation

Mix pumpkin, sugar, spices, and salt. Add beaten egg, flour, and milk (in which butter has been melted). Stir well.

Pour into 9" pie crust and bake at 350-375 degrees about an hour. When done, knife inserted in center comes out clean.
