Ingredients

Sponge:

2 packages of Yeast

1 Cup Warm Water

1 Cup Flour

1 Teaspoon Sugar

Dry Mix:

5 Cups of Flour

1/4 Cup of Sugar

2 Teaspoons Salt

Wet Mix:

1 Cup Warm Milk

1/3 of Olive Oil

2 Eggs (Beat it!)

Optional Additions:

1/2 Cup of dried onions

4 Tablespoons of Dill

Preparation

To make the sponge mix all of those ingredients aside and place it in a warm place for 15-20 minutes. The mixture should double in size and become sponge-like.

Mix the dry ingredients together. Adding in the onion and dill if you’d like.

Warm the milk and mix and mix the rest of the wet ingredients together

Now knead all of the ingredients together for 10 minutes. You may need to add more flour as you knead it all together. (As with all bread be careful not too add too much flour as this will make the bread dry and tough)

Once kneaded together let the dough rise for 1.5 to 2 hours (until double).

Grease two bread pans.

Split the dough into two sections. Each section then should be dividing into 1 to 2 inch balls and set in the greased bread pans. Let this rise until double, another 1 to 2 hours.

Bake the bread at 375 degrees for 20-30 minutes. When fully cooked, the bread will sounds hollow when tapped from the bottom.
