Ingredients
Sourdough-sausage stuffing.
3 mild Italian sausage links,
1 tsp olive oil,
2 cups chopped onion.
2 cups chopped celery
2 tbsp. chopped fresh parsley,
2 tsp’s. dried sage.,
1 tsp dried thyme,
1/2 tsp salt (I use sea salt),
12 tsp freshly ground back pepper,
12 cups cubed sour dough bread(about 1 pound),
1 (16)oz. can fat free chicken broth. Cooking Spray,
Preparation
Pre-heat oven to 350. Heat oil in skillet over medium high heat, add sausage, saute 5 min stirring to crumble. Add onion and celery, saute 3 min, Stir in parsley and next 5 ingredients. Place sausage mixture in a large bowl, stir in bread and broth, Spoon stuffing into a baking dish coated with spray. Cover and bake at 350 for 15 min. Uncover and bake and additional 20 min. Yield 9 servings ( serving size 1 cup) I bake this ahead of time and then put in a crackpot to keep warm
