Ingredients
2 eggs
2 1/4 teaspoon Yeast or 1 packet
2-2/3 cups warm water
1 tablespoon salt
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup Crisco
1 stick butter
8 cups plain flour
Preparation
Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
In a tall glass put yeast sugar.
Add 1-1/3 cups of warm water, stir well and sit aside.
In another tall glass, put 2 eggs and 1-1/3 cups water, stir well and set aside.
In large bowl, add flour, salt and Crisco.
Alternately add yeast and egg mixture.
Work in to a dough consistency
Cover with damp cloth and refrigerate overnight.
4 Hours before cooking 10. Punch down: turn out on lightly floured board.
Pinch off rolls and cut or shape by hand.
Dip edge of roll in melted butter and fold.
Let rise for 3 to 4 hours.
Put in hot oven and bake.
When rolls start to brown, baste with butter.
