1/2 lb butter (soft)
2 cups white sugar
3 cups flour
3 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
4 eggs, separated
1 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla
Preparation
Preheat moderate (325-350) oven Grease and flour tube cake pan Separate eggs Cream butter and sugar, then add yolks Add dry ingredients, milk and vanilla, alternating Whip egg whites until slightly fluffy, then fold into batter Bake 40-50 minutes, until done. Check frequently after 35 minutes - don’t over cook
