Ingredients

3 cups flour

1 cup sugar

1/2 tsp salt

4 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp baking soda

1 stick of butter or margarine

1 egg

1 Tbsp caraway seeds

1/2 lb raisins

1 1/4 cup milk

1 tsp vinegar

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350

Add dry googs together. Flour, salt baking powderBaking soda. Add stick of butter and crumble in dry mixture. Mix in caraway seeds and raisins.

In another bowl add egg, milk, vinegar to sour milk, baking soda. Mix until foamy then add to dry mixture. Have extra flourto pat the bread so its easy to handle.

If mixture is not thick and doughy add more flour.

Place in a greased 8 inch pan. Bake for about 50 minutes. Check with tooth pick if done.
