Ingredients
1 cup warm water
1 package yeast
1 tablespoon sugar
3/4 cup flour
1 cup mashed potatoes, warm
3 eggs, room temperature (if possible)
1/3 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter, cut up
1 teaspoon salt
3 to 3 1/2 cups flour
1/4 cup milk
Preparation
Mix Water, yeast, 1 tablespoon sugar, and flour to form a sponge. Let rise until bubbly (30 to 40 minutes). Add other ingredients. Knead lightly. Let rise until doubled (about 30 minutes). Punch down. Roll out to 1/2 inch. Cut out with 2 inch biscuit cutter, place close together in greased pan. Let rise until doubled. Preheat oven to 375º. Brush with milk. Bake for 20 to 30 minutes.
