Ingredients
9 x 13 cake pan
shortening or butter to grease pan
CAKE
1 cup butter
1 cup white sugar
4 tbspn (1/4 cup) cocoa
2 eggs
1 pkg graham wafers - crushed
4-6 ozs. marichino cherries - chopped
ICING
3 cups icing sugar
2 tbspn butter
3 tbspn cocoa
hot water as required
Preparation
melt butter over low heat, add sugar and cocoa..until dissolved remove from stove, wisk in one egg at a time…return to stovetop, simmer and stir for 1 minute remove from stove, add “crushed” graham wafers and Marichino Cherries PRESS INTO 9X13 “GREASED” CAKE PAN… CHILL ICING: Mix Butter and Icing Sugar… until smooth… add cocoa… if needed… add small amounts of hot water to enable spreading of icing.. Ice Cooled cake.. Cut into squares
