Ingredients

2 cups flour

2 tsps baking powder

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 cup cocoa

2 sticks butter

1 1/2 cups granulated sugar

1/2 cup maple syrup

2 eggs

1 tsp vanilla

1 tbsp Kahlua

2 cups chocolate chips

2 cups pecans, chopped (measure the unchopped nuts)

1 cup dried cranberries

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9 x 13 pan. Using a standing mixer, cream together the butter, sugar and maple syrup. Add the eggs and vanilla and cream together until mixture is pale and thick. Sift the dry ingredients and add to the butter/sugar/egg mixture. Stir in the chocolate chips, cranberries and pecans. Bake for 15-20 minutes until the sides pull away from the pan (testing skewer will be coated). Cool and cut into squares. Store in a tupperware-type container.
