Ingredients

1/2 cup pureed yams

1 asian pear, chopped

1 clove garlic, chopped

1 cup stock

pinch mace

salt and pepper to taste

1 T butter

2 T half and half

1-2 tsp truffle oil

freshly grated parmigiano-reggiano

1 lb fresh gnocchi

Preparation

Mix first five ingredients in a sauce pan and simmer gently for about 20 minutes. Puree the potato mixture, then add salt and pepper, butter, and half and half, and heat through. Keep warm on low heat.

Meanwhile, boil water in a large pot and cook gnocchi until done. Transfer to sauce and add truffle oil and grated cheese.
