Ingredients

1/2 c. water

4 tbsp. butter

2 tsp. sugar

1/2 tsp. salt

1/4 tsp. pepper

1 1/2 lbs. carrots

Preparation

Combine all but carrots to over high heat. Stir in carrots. Reduce to moderate heat. Cook until carrots are tender and liquid is absorbed (about 1/2 hour).
