Ingredients
8 tbsp butter (room temp)
1/4 c shortening
2 c sugar
2 c flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinammon
1 tbsp ground ginger
1/4 c maple syrup
1 egg, beaten
as much jam as you wish
Preparation
- Oven to 375
- Cream shortening, only 1 cup sugar, and butter.
- In another bowl, mix flour, baking soda, cinammon, and ginger.
- Add syrup to butter mixture
- Mix in beaten egg into butter mixture.
- Add flour mixture.
- Measure 2 tsp of dough and make balls. Roll in remainig sugar. Flatten dough a bit.
- Cook for 9 minutes.
- Add raspberry jam if you fancy it.
- Eat until your stomach hurts.
