Ingredients

8 oz Flour

4 oz Caster Sugar

4 oz Margarine

1 cup Milk

1 tbl Syrup

1 tsp Cinnamon (Ground)

1 tsp Ginger (Ground)

1 tsp Mixed Spices

1 tsp Baking Soda

1 Egg (Beaten)

1 pinch Salt

Preparation

  1. Put the flour, caster sugar, salt, cinnamon, ginger and mixed spices into a bowl.
  2. Melt the butter in a pan, add the milk and syrup then stir well.
  3. Take a mixing bowl and combine the egg with baking soda.
  4. Combine the mixtures and stir well.
  5. Pour into a greased tin.
  6. Bake at 325°F for 45 minutes.
