Ingredients
1 cup shortening
1/3 cup sugar
1 cup sorghum
1 tsp vanilla
2 1/2 tsp ginger
2 eggs
2 1/2 to 3 cups flour
2 tsp baking powder; dissolved in 2 tbsp vinegar
2 tbspnvinegar
1 tsp cinnamon
Preparation
Cream the shortening, sugar, eggs, vanilla, and sorghum until smooth. Add dry ingredients. Shape into balls, dip in sugar, and bake on 350 degrees until done. Keep close check on cookies so they don’t burn.
