Ingredients

2 tbsp. each dark soy sauce, light soy and honey.

3 tbsp. hoisin sauce

1 tbsp. each dry sherry and catsup

2 cloves garlic, chopped

1 tbsp. sugar

4-5 thin slices fresh ginger

6 scallions, chopped

2 pounds spareribs, cut into 2" pieces

Preparation

  1. Mix all ingred. in a large bowl with a tight fitting cover. Add spareribs and marinate overnight in the fridge; turn several times.

  2. Line a roasting pan with alum. foil. Add ribs and marinade to pan. Roast meat for 45 min. in a 400 deg. oven. Reduce heat to 350, roast 15 min. longer or until meat shrinks from the bone. Ribs should be rich, dark color and sauce should be sticky. 2-3 servings
