Ingredients

3/4 c. hoisin sauce

1/2 c. water

1 1/2 T soy sauce

1 1/2 T sugar

1 1/2 T olive oil

3 T minced scallions (white part)

2 T minced garlic

1 t red pepper or to taste

Preparation

  1. Whisk together first 4 ingredients.
  2. Saute scallions, garlic, and red pepper in olive oil until fragrant (15 secons).
  3. Add hoisin mixture and boil.
  4. Cook, stirring, until sauce thickens slightly, about 1 min.
  5. Pour into a bowl.
