Ingredients

1lb scallops

3 cloves finely chopped garlic

1/2 tsp 5 spice powder

1 tsp grated ginger

1 small red chili pepper, seeded & finely chopped

2 TBSP soy sauce

1 TBSP rice wine (Mirin)

2 TBSP vegetable oil

3 TBSP water

1cup mizuna

Preparation

Place scallops in shallow non-metal bowl. Combine garlic, 5 spice powder, ginger, chili pepper, soy sauce & mirin and pour over scallops. Cover a Saran Wrap & refrigerate 30 mins. Drain scallops, reserving marinade. Preheat grill a oil. Grill 2-3 mins each side. Remove. Add water to reserve marinade & boil 1 min. Drizzle a marinade. Serve a mizuna. Serves 2.
