Ingredients

1 small bunch broccoli rabe - ends trimmed and each stem cut into 2 or 3 pieces.

2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

2 cloves garlic (thinly sliced)

1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes

1/2 tsp kosher salt

Preparation

  1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil and add broccoli rabe. Cook 2 to 3 minutes until tender and bright green. Drain in a colander. Wipe out pot, add olive oil, garlic and pepper flakes. Cook over medium heat, until garlic is lightly golden brown about 2 minutes. Add broccoli rabe and 1/2 tsp salt, cook 2 minutes longer, toss with tongs until tender.
