Ingredients
4 Eggs
2 Cups Sugar
2 Sticks Butter
10 Tablespoons Cocoa (heaping)
1½ Cups of Flour
1 teaspoon Salt
2 teaspoons Vanilla
Optional - additional ingredients:
1 Cup of Chocolate Chips
1 Cup of Crushed Walnuts
Preparation
Melt butter in sauce pan and add cocoa, stir to make smooth as syrup, but do not allow to come to a boil, this purpose is to melt the cocoa. Beat eggs slightly; add sugar and stir. Add the cocoa syrup to the egg mixture and stir to blend. Add vanilla, stir. Do not beat. Add dry ingredients (salt, flour and if desired, nuts and chocolate chips) and stir. Pour into well greased 9x13 pan. Bake at 325 f. (163 c.) for 30-35 minutes. Cool and cut into bars. Do not over bake; stick a toothpick in the center; if the toothpick comes out with a little of brownie, it is done.
