1 1/2 CUPS HOT SIMPLE SYRUP(RATIO;1C WATER/1C SUGAR BROUGHT TO HIGH SIMMER)

Preparation
PLACE CLEAN QT JAR IN A PAN THAT WILL ALLOW WATER TO COVER BOTTOM THIRD OF JAR.
PLACE FRUIT IN JAR.
MAKE SIMPLE SYRUP AND POUR OVER FRUIT.
POUR BOILING WATER IN PAN AROUND JAR.
ALLOW TO COOL TO ROOM TEMPERATURE.
FILL THE JAR THE REST OF THE WAY WITH VODKA.
PUT LID ON JAR TIGHT AND THEN TURN BACK 1/4 TURN
STORE LIQUOR IN DARK COOL PLACE(BASEMENT) FOR 6 WEEKS(NO PEEKING)
