Ingredients

Ingredients:

1 cup sugar

1 cup flour

1 tsp. baking soda

½ tsp. salt

1 egg

1 can fuit cocktail(1# size)

1 tsp. vanilla

½ cup brown sugar

1 cup chopped walnuts

Preparation

Set oven to 325º

Sift together sugar, flour, baking soda and salt. Add the egg, beat well and then add the fruit cocktail, juices included, and vanilla. Mix until well blended. Pour into ungreased 8" X 10" pan.

Mix the brown sugar and chopped walnuts and sprinkle evenly over top.

Bake one hour.

Can serve warm or cold. Goes well with whipped cream or ice cream.
