Ingredients
1 pound chicken drumsticks
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
1 teaspoon garlic powder
about 2 cups buttermilk or more
1 cup flour
1 cup cornmeal
2 tablespoons paprika
2 cups vegetable oil
Preparation
Pour the oil in a pot or in a deepfrier. Heat it to 375 degrees. Rinse the chicken in cold water. Rub it with the salt, pepper, poultry seasoning, and garlic powder. Roll it in the buttermilk. Mix the flour, cornmeal, and paprika in a sealable bag. Drop the peice of chicken in there and shake it. Take it out and put it in the oil. Cook it 30 minutes. Then serve it with mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, and biscuits!
