Ingredients
3 large granny smith apples, peeled and cored
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
dallop of butter
*granny smith apples work really well for baking
Preparation
Peel and core apples. Cut each apple into halves several times until each apple gives you eight pieces.
Put apples into a large non-stick skillet. Sprinkle cinnamon,sugar and butter over apples. The cinnamon and sugar should cover the majority of the apples. Use more cinnamon and sugar for a sweeter taste. Fry apples over medium-high heat.
Remove from heat when apples are tender, but not soggy. The cinnamon-sugar mixture should be bubbly. Add more butter if you like and cover with lid. Serve hot or reheated.
