Ingredients

1 loaf french breat cut into 1 inch cubes

8 eggs

3 cups milk

4 tsp sugar

1 tsp vanilla

3/4 tsp salt

topping

2 tbsp butter- melted

3 tbsp sugar

2 tsp ground cinnamon

optional

maple syrup when served

Preparation

  1. place bread cubes into a greased 13x9 baking dish.

  2. in a mixing bowl, beat eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, and salt

  3. pour over bread

  4. cover and refrigerate overnight or for8 hours

  5. remove from refrgerator 30 minutes before cooking

  6. dot top with butter

  7. combine sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle on top

  8. cover and bake at 350 for 45-50 minutes

  9. let stand 5 minutes before serving
