Ingredients
One 5 oz. package Farmhouse® Four Cheese Pasta
2 Tablespoons butter or margarine
1/4 cup red bell pepper, chopped
1-1/2 cups fresh mushrooms, sliced
8 oz. smoked sausage, sliced
1-1/4 cups warm water
3/4 cup milk
Preparation
In medium sauce pan, melt butter or margarine. Add red bell pepper and cook for 5 minutes, stirring frequently. Add mushrooms and continue cooking for 5 minutes. Add sausage and continue cooking for an additional 2 minutes. Add water, milk, pasta and contents of seasoning packet. Heat to a boil, stirring frequently. Reduce heat and low-boil uncovered 12 minutes, stirring frequently, until tender. Remove from heat. Let stand for 5 minutes. Sauce will thicken as it stands.
