Ingredients

DRY INGREDIENTS [small mixing bowl, big whisk, stirring spoon]

2 cups all-purpose flour

2 tbsp white sugar

2 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp salt

WET INGREDIENTS [big mixing bowl, big whisk*, ladel]

2 cups buttermilk (or 2 cups milk + 1 tbsp lemon juice)

3 tbsp melted margarine/butter

1 egg

COOKING [griddle @ high, pancake flipper]

1-2 tsp vegetable oil

Preparation

PREP FOR COOKING

  1. Preheat [griddle @ High]

  2. Mix the DRY INGREDIENTS in the [big mixing bowl] using the [big whisk]

  3. Mix the WET INGREDIENTS in a [small mixing bowl] using the [big whisk*]

  4. Pour the WET INGREDIENTS into the DRY INGREDIENTS in the [big mixing bowl] and mix using the [stirring spoon] to create batter. Batter should be moderately lumpy and evenly moist.

COOKING

  1. Put some oil on hot [griddle].

  2. Dollop out the batter on the [griddle] using the [ladel] to create pancakes.

  3. Side one: cook 1.5 - 2 mins

  4. Flip with [pancake flipper].

  5. Side two: cook 1 - 1.5 mins

  6. Remove with [pancake flipper] and serve.
