Ingredients

4 oz unslated butter

1/2 cup super fine suggar

1 medium size egg

2 cups self-raising flour

Almond essence

Maple sirrup for topping

Preparation

Grease 2 baking sheets Mix well butter & sugar Beat in the egg fluffy Add almond extract – mix well Add flour mix to soft dough – work with hands if needed. Roo dough –> use cookie-cutter to shape cookies Use sparingly the maple syrup Bake 12 to 14 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool on rack.
