Ingredients

1 cup of sugar for caramel base

6 eggs

1 can of evaporated milk

1 can of condensed milk

1 tbsp of vanilla extract

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F.
  2. Carefully melt sugar in a saucepan until a light caramel color is achieved. The consistency will be pourable liquid such as honey. 3.Transfer caramel and quickly coat baking vessel.
  3. In a bowl, mix eggs, condensed and evaporated milk with vanilla; making sure there is not a lot of air introduced while mixing.
  4. Pour egg mixture on top of the set caramel.
  5. Set baking pan inside a larger pan. Carefully add room temperature water into the large pan to create a “bain marie.”
  6. Place on center oven rack and bake for 40 minutes to 1 hr. Enjoy!
