Ingredients

1/3 Cup Brown Sugar

1 Can Evaporated Milk

1 Can Condensed Milk

4 eggs

Vanilla to taste

Cinnamon to taste

Rum to taste (optional)

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Have some hot water ready.

Blend evaporated and condensed milks in a blender. Add eggs and blend. Add vanilla, cinnamon, and rum, and blend.

Melt brown sugar in a small sauce pan, then pour (it hardens very quickly), or just smear, into bottom of glass pie dish.

Pour blended ingredients over brown sugar. Put pie pan into a water bath and bake covered tightly with foil. The owner of the recipe told me it took her only 15-20 minutes, but mine always takes 1-1 1/2 hours. The flan is done if the center quivers when shaken.
