Ingredients

2-4 filet mignons

olive oil

kosher salt

ground black pepper

garlic powder

butter

1 large yellow onion

1 T sherry wine

prepared pub-style horseradish cream sauce

Preparation

Slice onion very thin. Heat butter and olive oil in pan. Add onions. Simmer on low for 1 hour.

Season filets with salt, pepper, garlic powder and olive oil on both sides. Sear filets on both sides on hot grill pan. Place filets in preheated oven for desired doneness.

After simmering onions for 1 hour, raise heat to med-high. Stir onions untill they reach carmel color. Add wine and a dash of salt. Simmer low 5 mins.

Serve carmelized onions over filet with horseradish cream sauce on the side.
